Lanark Rare Breed Sale 2017 Friday 18th Show @ 1600hrs Saturday 19th Sale 1200hrs Approx. (After Shetlands) I look forward to seeing many of you on Friday. The Mart will be able to take arrivals from 1200hrs onwards and I will be there to assist anyone who needs it. The Mart canteen will be open until 1500hrs... thereafter I have organised a wee table with Tea/Coffee, Water/Juice & some wee energy boosting sweet nibbles! Our show will start at 1600hrs in the show ring behind the sales rings (as long as we are all on time!) and probably be finished between 1700-1730hrs. Our meal at the New Lanark Mill is at 1900hrs. On Saturday we are once again playing second to the Shetland Sheep Society. They start their sale at 1030hrs and have around 160 lots to get through. We will be immediately aftwards with no break. The Mart think this would be around 1200hrs... perhaps! The Catalogue is now available for download on the Lawrie and Symington website. Lanark Mart CPH Number - 83/536/8300 Please give me a call if you have any problems en-route or if there is anything else I can help with. 07824364585

Hello! I was wondering if someone could advise me about ragwort? We have two fields that have always had someone's horses in but now they have gone. There is ragwort in the field and today we have cut some of it... are Hebrideans ok with ragwort that is growing in a field? Also is it safe to put them in the field with the cut ragwort... or is there a quarantine period? The person who had her horse in the fields always dealt with the ragwort so I'm new to this! Any advice would be most welcome 🙂
